MONTAGIN INJ

MONTAGIN is indicated for horses, cattle, sheep, goats and dogs as analgesic, antispasmodic, antipyretic and anti- inflammatory agent for treatment of:

  • Pain in colic of varying etiology or other spasmolytic conditions affecting the region of the abdominal cavity in horses and cattle
  • Paralytic myoglobinuria of horses
  • Obstruction of the oesophagus
  • Febrile diseases such as serious cases of mastitis, MMA (mastitis-metritis-agalactia) syndrome
  • Acute and chronic forms of arthritis, rheumatic conditions affecting the muscles and joints, neuritis, neuralgias and tendovaginitis

 

COMPOSITION:
Each ml contains-
Metamizole (as Sodium) 500mg

INDICATIONS:

  • Pain, inflammation and fever.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

The recommended administration routes are intravenous and intramuscular. In practice, intramuscular and intravenous administration can be combined. Administration may be repeated if necessary.
Subcutaneous injection is not recommended because this occasionally causes tissue irritation.

  • Horse: 20 – 50 mg/kg b.w.
  • Cattle: 20 – 40 mg/kg b.w.
  • Dog: 20 – 50 mg/kg b.w.
  • Sheep, Goat: 20 – 50 mg/kg b.w.

WITHDRAWAL TIME:

  • Meat and Offal:
    Horses: 4 days
    Cattle, sheep and goats: 5 days
  • Milk:
    4 milkings
