ENROJAT 10% INJ

ENROJAT 10% INJ

ENROJAT inj. is a bactericidal and mycoplasmicidal fluoroquinolone. It inhibits bacterial DNA-gyrase (a type-II topoisomerase), thereby preventing DNA super- coiling and DNA synthesis. This DNA gyrase enzyme is absent in animals, therefore the drug does not affect them in any way.
The bactericidal activity of Enrofloxacin is concentration dependent, with susceptible bacteria cell death occurring within 20-30 minutes of exposure. It has demonstrated a significant post-antibiotic effect (PAE), and a potent immuno- stimulant effect at the therapeutic doses.
